Privacy policy

What I collect, why, who sees it, how long I keep it, and how you can have it deleted.

Last updated: October 27, 2026. This policy covers flipfiled.com and the services of Flipfiled LLC ("Flipfiled," "I," "me"). I am not an attorney, and this is a plain-language description of what I actually do with your information.

What I collect

• Signup form: your name, email, ZIP code, phone number (optional), where you are in the process, what you sell, and whether you agreed to texts.
• Booking and payment: when you book through Cal.com, they collect your name, email and appointment details. When you pay, Stripe collects your payment details. I never see or store your full card number.
• Service documents: information you give me so I can complete a filing, such as your business name, address, owner names and the answers to form questions.
• Basic site data: like most websites, the hosting provider keeps technical logs such as IP address and browser type. I do not run advertising trackers on this site.

What I do not collect

Please do not send me your Social Security number, bank account or card numbers, or passwords, by email, text, chat or form. When an agency asks for them, you enter them yourself on the agency's site. If you send one by mistake, tell me and I will delete it.

How I use it

• To reply to you, send the checklist you asked for and schedule calls.
• To prepare and submit the filings you hired me for, and to keep a record of what I did.
• To send reminders and occasional follow-ups about your setup. You can stop these at any time by replying "stop."
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations of my own business.

I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising by other companies.

Who else sees it

I use a small number of services to run the business, and your information passes through them: Google (a spreadsheet for signups, and email), Cloudflare (website hosting), Cal.com (booking), Stripe (payments), and the agencies I file with at your direction, such as the Illinois Secretary of State, the IRS, the Illinois Department of Revenue and the City of Chicago. I may also share information when the law requires it, to prevent fraud, or if the business is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy would continue to protect your information.

Texts and email

I send texts only if you checked the box to agree. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to end them. Reply "stop" to any email to end emails. Agreeing to texts is not required to use the service.

How long I keep it

• People who sign up but never hire me: about 12 months after our last contact, then I delete it.
• Clients: about 3 years after the work is finished, so I can answer questions, fix problems and keep my own business records. After that I delete your documents and contact details, unless the law requires me to keep something longer.
• Earlier deletion: you can ask me to delete your information sooner at any time. I will do it, except for records I must keep by law or need to resolve a dispute.

How I protect it

I keep only what I need, use passwords and two-step sign-in on the accounts that hold your information, limit who can see it, and delete things I no longer need. No online system is perfectly secure, so I cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If your personal information is involved in a breach, I will notify you and any agency as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you what I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email flipfiled@gmail.com and I will respond, normally within 30 days. You can also ask me to stop contacting you.

Children

This service is for adults who are starting a business. It is not meant for people under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top. If a change affects how I use information you already gave me, I will tell you.
